We are Chris & Joanna Byers and we are 1st generation farmers. At the age of 9 Chris started helping a friend from church with hay making and getting to help with farm work. This started his desire to someday own and operate his own farming operation. Chris grew up in Chambersburg, PA, which is a prosperous Ag community, but with that there was little chance to buy or rent farm ground due to so much competition for land base. For 20 years Chris worked in construction making a living and providing for his family, but the desire to have his own farm never died!

Joanna grew up in the Plains of Ohio in prime farming country. Her Father worked in construction and also had a deer farm that Joanna and her siblings spent many hours helping to feed the deer and care for them. In February of 2009 we were married and have been blessed with seven children. In 2016 our Family moved to the pan handle of WV to the small town of Berkeley Springs, where we bought a 62 acre farm that needed a lot of work. With persistence and hard work, it has become a source of sustainability for our Family.
